Happy Halloween!!
I love Halloween & I'm super excited to take the kiddos out for Trick or Treating tonight. This will be their 1st Halloween that they get to Trick or Treat, last year they helped hand out candy. I know they will only make it to a few houses, but it'll be FUN!! We went on a walk this past weekend to see how well they'd walk & hold on to our hands-- they did GREAT!!! The girls held on to D.J.'s hands & Austen held onto mine. We walked about 3+ blocks, they stopped a couple of times to check things out & they each fell a couple of times, but pretty good. We'll see how well they can do in their costumes, in the dark & with a lot of other people running around. Keep our fingers crossed it isn't too cold or windy. Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow of the kiddos in their Halloween costumes (if my camera cooperates)!
Camera on the Fritz =(
Sad news... my camera is on the FRITZ!!! Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't!! We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago & I only got 2 pictures taken (both of Austen) before it decided to shut off on me & not come back on!! I can't have 3 one year olds & a camera that doesn't work!!
So, I'm asking for your help--I need some opinions/comments. What's a good camera out there? Does anyone have a camera that they just LOVE or just HATE. D.J. has looked a little online, but I like to get real opinions on what works good. I'd like one with a fast shutter- these kiddos move fast =) So, please let me know!!
Thanks!

1 Year Pictures

Here are the kids one year pictures. The pictures were actually taken when they were 14 months old (still 1 year old pics, just a couple months late) The kiddos are now 15 months old, sorry, it took me a month to get them posted. We have been a little busy, but I know a lot of you have been asking to see more pictures of the kids.

We did the shots on 2 different days. The first day, it was just me & Kim and we were at mom's house. I think the pictures turned out GREAT, but we didn't get a "good" group shot & Kim thought the pics were a little grainy. So, we tried it a second time with D.J.'s help at Kim's house and we got some more GREAT shots of the kids individually, a couple group shots (still not a "good" group shot) & we tried a family shot.

OOPS- I have 2 CD's w/ the same pictures on them, the pictures from Photo Shoot #1-- I'll have to give Kim a call.
Well, here are a few pictures from Photo Shoot #1. I'll post more from Photo Shoot #2 when I get them =)

Here's what you get when you try to get 3 one year olds to sit together for a picture!

Austen, looking so sweet. Yes, I think he is a mamma's boy =) Just super sweet... ok, then there are times when he is all BOY!! Rough & tumble.

Caitlen, looking just innocent, but don't let her fool you... she is ornery! Wild & Crazy- will try to get into anything, usually ends up in trouble.

Brooklen, shy & adorable. She is the one I can usually get a little cuddle time with.

Austen's first haircut!
Austen got his first haircut last week on August 16th- just a couple days before turning 14 months old. It's been about the past month that I've been saying that Austen needs a haircut...after a month of saying that- he REALLY needed a haircut! He did a great job. We tried having him sit alone at first, then he sat on my lap & then we got a cracker for a snack- which always helps. I think he looks older with his haircut, but it sure is adorable!
Thanks Tara- you did a great job!
We bought a new home!!!

ok- all this back & forth is almost over!! We bought a new home & will be moving over the next month or so. Once we get settled in, I promise I'll be better with the posts & more pictures of the kids!
The trips are doing awesome- all walking/running everywhere. We are getting ready to do their 1 year photos (yes, I know they are 14 months) hopefully tomorrow. I will post those when I get them.
Hi-
Sorry, it's been so long (again). The summer has been busy with back & forth- trying to sell our current home & staying with moms. Sometimes here.... sometimes there.... sometimes together... sometimes apart- it's been hard & we are ready to be done. (SO READY to be done!) I sometimes have a lot to tell.... but no pictures. That is correct, I just realized I don't think I've taken a picture of the trips in a month- how horrible! I'm going to be better this month- I have to be, they will only be 14 months old once & they are changing so fast. I do have a few pictures of Austen & his first haircut that I'll post. Otherwise, I'll take some soon & post.
Thank you everyone for checking in on our blog- I promise I'll be better.... maybe not until the end of September, but I'll try to do a couple posts between now & then.

Happy 4th of July!!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! (Sorry, for the late post) I only got a few photos, I think Nanna Sharon got more. The kids made it to see fireworks & had lots of fun, they were very good for it being way past bedtime. We watched from the 16th street bridge in CR & weren't too close, so they weren't too loud.
Here's Brooklen, Caitlen (stuck in the middle) & Austen chilling before heading out to see Fireworks.

Here's a picture of the girls looking so cute in their 4th of July outfits & visors.

Caitlen playing with Daddy

The kids had their 1 year doctor appointment a couple weeks ago- all went well. Everyone is doing great! Austen weighs 22lbs (I think it's more than that, he is a solid boy!) and he is 30 inches long. Caitlen weighs 18 lbs (so, she can't turn around in her car seat yet) and she is 29 inches. Brooklen weighs 19 lbs and is 28 inches, our little peanut!

Otherwise, not much is new here. Still waiting for our house to sell- we are all REALLY ready to sell this house, buy a new house, get moved & settled! We are enjoying the nicer weather- not so hot this week. Got out for a walk last night, took the kids to the Zoo today- what a great time. We went with Wendy & her 2 year old twins Evan & Elise. It wasn't too busy so we could actually pull up to the fences & see some of the animals. Then we all sat under a tree & ate some lunch, now the kids are all crashed out in bed. Thanks for a great time Wendy!
