Dinner, The Same Old Thing....
I have to agree with Laura regarding dinner: Lately, I feel that I've hit a rut in my cooking, that is what little cooking I do. We have the same things over and over and over again. And frankly, I'm tired of them! So, I'm reaching out to you...my fellow bloggers. What do you make for dinner? What is your go-to meal? What do you make that your kids devour and that your husband wants seconds of??
So, if you have a blog, I challenge you to post your favorite meal recipe on there. If you don't have a blog, feel free to email me your recipes!

Here is one of my staples & really good with Lent coming up....
Mom's Tuna Casserole
1 large package egg noodles
1 can tuna packed in water (drained)
1 can cream mushroom soup
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cheese, grated or cubed (cheddar or Velveeta)
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
Cook noodles according to pkg instructions. Drain. Mix other ingredients together & add to warm noodles over medium-low heat. You can heat to desired temp & eat or you can bake in casserole dish at 350 for 30 min. Enjoy!!
A new recipe I just tried: Potato Soup
2 large potatoes (chop up- you can peel or not, your choice)
1 onion (as much or as little as you like)
4 or so celery stalks
4 cans chicken broth
1 can evaporate milk
4 slices cheese or 8oz tub cream cheese
In sauce pan cook broth, onion, celery and potatoes- bring to boil, cook until potatoes are tender. Pour evaporated milk in dish & slowly add some hot broth to milk- you don't want to curdle your milk, then add to soup in pan. Stir in cheese & it's ready! I think it's really good. Enjoy

Mmmmmmm......yummy! And great idea~ I agree with you. I feel like I make the same things all the time. Actually hadn't made tuna & noodles for a long time ~ so made that last night. Kids both ate it without any complaint - so it will be a new staple. :) Here is one to try - pretty easy and very yummy~
Creamy Chicken Casserole:
3 cups chopped or shredded cooked chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 (80z) carton sour cream
1 tablespoon popp seeds
1 1/2 cups crushed ritz crackers (40 crackers)
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Combine first 4 ingredients; spoon into greased baking dish. combine crushed crackers and butter, and sprinkle over chicken mixture. Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30 min. About 4 servings. Serve with favorite veggie side dish.
:) Hope you like it! Going to try your baked potato this weekend.....
p.s. you are funny - I did see that you tagged me, but was in fact hoping that you might forget. :) hee hee hee. ok - will do it - but i don't know enough bloggers to tag! We actually have several of the same answers - just have to tweak the 'drinks' a bit. ;)
love ya!
ummmm......that is "POPPY seeds"
:)
Yay! Thanks Kristi! And Kim...I've been looking for that recipe since November! Someone brought me it for dinner one night and I loved it but haven't gotten around to getting the recipe!
Now i have three more meals to add to the rotation!!!
Great idea to share new recipes, thanks to you and Kim. I love to try something new, especially if it is pretty easy. I just need to remember to write these down and then remember where I wrote them.
Hi Kristi Ernberger! What a great idea. I'm always looking for new EASY recipes. Here's one:
Chicken Enchilada Soup
*1 can cream of chicken soup
*1 can of enchilada sauce
*1 can of nacho cheese soup
*2 cups of milk
*1 can of green chili's (diced)
*Canned chicken or those already cooked chicken strips
*1 can of stewed tomatoes (optional)
Combine all the above in a crock pot. Serve with shredded cheese on top. I like to crush up tortilla chips in it too. YUM!
I love soup and this is so easy and good. You can add more milk if it's too thick.
oooh! Yummy Julie! Going to try that one, too! Sounds delicious!! :)
Thanks Kristi for the recipe blog - great idea~
Hi Kristi!
I saw the link to your website on the Lenhart’s website. I love your website. You have beautiful children. I have a recipe that I just tried that was listed in our multiple club (Northern Virginia Parents of Multiples – NVPOM) newsletter. It was easy and tasty. My two top requirements when cooking dinner and living with triplets.
Crockpot Pork Tenderloin
1 – 2 lb pork tenderloin (I used pork chops instead)
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 pkg Lipton onion soup mix
Place trimmed pork tenderloin in crockpot. Add cranberry sauce and onion soup mix. No need to stir. Cook on high setting for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. During cooking, spoon sauce occasionally over tenderloin.
I thought this might also be good with chicken, but I have not tried that yet.
Enjoy!
